Enrolment at the Rhythm n Steps is contingent upon your understanding & agreement to follow all Policies, rules, regulations & procedures
Contact Details	We must have a current telephone number for every student. If you shift please inform us so we can keep our files up to date.
Watching of Classes	Watching of class is permitted in the last week of term, except for exam term when all classes can be observed. Students are often distracted by conversation or other children so this must be enforced at all times. Please note that show term is a non watching term as many of the students like to keep their work a big surprise.
Uniform	Students are to observe the wearing of the exact uniform. · Ballet students in the correct uniform for their grade. · Jazz - Neat hair styles, ponytail or bun for long hair, hair band and neatly clipped back for short hair. No fringes.
Courtesy	Class courtesy and discipline will be maintained at all times so that all students have the opportunity to work to the best of their abilities in a safe and happy environment. Students and parents when addressing their Instructor must use their surname - e.g. Mrs. Anderson. Academy Parents and Students will be courteous to each other at all times.
Communication	Most importantly, Parents or Students with any concerns at any time from understanding why we Plie, to uniform inquiries, or even if something at home is affecting your child, please bring them directly to Mrs. Anderson in a civilized manner and at a time suitable to both parties (never during class time).
Payment of Fees	All fees are paid prior to commencement of each term. We are happy with cheques, internet banking we will even take cash. Part payments can be tailored to each individual family on communication with the Academy Director.
Academy Timetable	Maybe subject to change, however all efforts are made to ensure existing classes remain in their current time slots where possible.
Academy Resources & Choreography	This includes all aspects of Fairy Magic Dance Classes. All Class Work, Competitions, Performances, choreographed by any member, guest or student of Rhythm n Steps Dance Academy, remain the sole property of the Academy. Students are not permitted to use resources or choreography without prior permission from the Academy Director.
Studio Care	There is to be no smoking in the building. Please refrain from leaving food scraps, in the rubbish bin in the observing room. Please discard any chewing gum before entering the building in a caring manner. There is a microwave for the Academy use in the kitchen but please leave the kitchen clean and tidy after any use.
Fire Safety	There is a fire extinguisher located in the dance studio and throughout the building, in the event of a fire, Students are to follow the instructions of their class instructor.
Class Attendance	Good attendance is beneficial for students and teachers and it is vital to keep abreast of syllabus knowledge and class development. Any Student arriving more than 10 minutes late may enter the studio quietly, take a seat and observe the remainder of the class from there. This is firstly out of respect to fellow class mates and teacher, to avoid interruption to class flow and forcing us to re teach material Secondly it is for safety reasons and to ensure no injuries occur from lack of adequate warm-up.
Pick Up and Drop Off	It is our policy that students not be dropped off outside of the studio. It is the guardian's responsibility to walk the dancer into the studio with adequate time for them to change and warm up before their scheduled class. The guardian should arrive for pick up, a few minutes before class ends, in order to wait for their Dancer to come out of class and then leave the studio together. We are very sensitive about our dancer's safety and whereabouts and will not be held responsible for a student.
General Rules	Please leave all valuables and jewellery at home as we can not be held responsible for missing items. Take everything home with you before you leave the studio. Be considerate of others around you at all times. Please label and name all your dance uniform items as missing items with no names cannot be returned to correct owners. Items left at the studio in the lost and found box will be given to charity every term.
